Bank of Maharashtra Mahabank Scheme for Contractors

This loan helps MSME contractors and sub-contractors meet their Working Capital and other requirements as Working Capital or Term Loans. In addition to financial assistance, the bank also offers Non-fund Based assistance such as Bank Guarantee, Foreign Line of Credit, Deferred Bank Guarantee, etc. under this scheme. The maximum loan amount is Rs. 10 crore.

Why this Loan?

·        The loan is meant for contractors and sub-contractors meet their Working Capital needs or purchase equipment, machinery or vehicle

·        All contractors and sub-contractors who are classified as MSME and work on Civil, Mining, Transport, Electrical, Road, Irrigation, Pipeline and Construction projects are eligible for this loan

·        The maximum loan amount for the Bank of Maharashtra MSME Contractors Loan is Rs. 10 crore

Loan Amount

·        The minimum loan amount is Rs. 10 lakh. The maximum loan amount is Rs. 10 crore for this loan scheme

Interest

·        Loans up to Rs. 5 crore: One-year Marginal Cost of Funds based Lending Rate (MCLR) of Bank of Maharashtra + Business Strategy Spread (BSS) + Strategic Premium. As of now, one-year MCLR of Bank of Maharashtra is 7.50%, BSS is 0.25% and Strategic premium for this loan amount is 1.00% bringing the effective interest rate to 8.75%

·        Loans Above Rs. 5 crore: One-year Marginal Cost of Funds based Lending Rate (MCLR) of Bank of Maharashtra + Business Strategy Spread (BSS) + Strategic Premium. As of now, the one-year MCLR is 7.50%, BSS is 0.25% and Strategic Premium for this loan amount is 1.50% bring the effective interest rate to 9.25%

Eligibility

·        MSME contractors and sub-contractors working on Civil, Mining, Transport, Electrical, Road, Irrigation, Pipeline and Construction projects are eligible for this loan

·        The MSME must have been in business for at least 3 years and have Audited Financial Statements for the last 2 years

·        The business must be making profit for the last 3 years

Borrower Contribution to Total Cost (Margin Money)

·        For Micro and Small Enterprises: The bank charges minimum 20% of the total loan amount as margin

·        For Medium Enterprises: The bank charges minimum 25% of the total loan amount as margin

Note: Margin money refers to the amount the borrower contributes to the overall amount required. The bank will cover the rest. So, if the total amount needed is Rs. 20 lakh, you will have to contribute 20% which comes to Rs. 4 lakh. The bank will provide the balance of Rs. 16 lakh.

Processing Fee

·        Working Capital Loans: The bank charges 0.25% of total loan amount as processing fee excluding GST for new Working Capital Loans. For review and enhancement requests, the bank charges 0.30% of total loan amount + GST

·        Term Loans: The bank charges 0.75% of total loan amount as processing fee excluding GST for new Term Loans. For review and enhancement requests, the bank charges 0.10% of total loan amount up to Rs. 1 lakh + GST for loans above 25 lakh and no processing charges for loans up to Rs. 25 lakh
