Objectives

1. Financial assistance to the families belonging to poorer section of backward classes for their economic upliftment.

2. Providing irrigation facility to the lands of small and marginal formers among backward classes under Ganga Kalyana Scheme.

3. Financial assistance to the artisans to upgrade the skill and to set up their productive units

Functions

1. To promote economic and development activities for the benefit of Backward Classes.

2. To promote self-employment and other ventures for the benefit of backward classes.

3. To extend loans to the backward classes for pursuing professional/technical education.

4. Assistance for the upgradation of technical and entrepreneurial skill of artisans and occupational groups for proper and efficient management of production units.

5. Providing marketing facilities for the artisans and other Backward classes.

Loan Amount

The Corporation is extending financial assistance upto Rs.50,000/- per beneficiary for self employment activities under business, service, and agricultural and allied activities. The amount includes 30% or maximum of Rs.10,000/-subsidy and remaining is loan amount at 4% interest per annum.
